Today was supposed to get into the mid-50's so we thought it would be a great day to get in a round of golf before the snow comes in this weekend. Unfortunatley, it only got to the 40's. There was a long delay teeing off due to the frost this morning. My golf game was as bad as the weather.

We had beautiful weather today so we were able to get in the first round of golf this year. Gotta love it for the middle of January.

A beautiful day to be playing golf. Went to the driving range - unfortunately I didn't hit the balls very well! Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Downtown - Project 365 - Day 14

Today was the first day of nice weather in about 2 weeks - a great day to walk around downtown. This is The Vance Monument, City Hall and The Jackson Building in Asheville, NC.

Andrews Geyser - Project 365 - Day 13

Andrews Geyser is in Old Fort, North Carolina. It is a man-made geyser that shoots up over 80 feet high at times.

I thought it was supposed to warm up today. Instead we had some snow flurries and freezing rain again.

Pickleball - Project 365 - Day 11

 

Today was Pickleball day. Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles.

Winter Wonderland - Project 365 - Day 10

 

We've had record breaking temperatures for over a week now. I've never seen Beaver Lake frozen for this long. Hopefully our temperatures are going to warm up this week.

Bluebird - Project 365 - Day 9

 

Saw this beautiful Bluebird at Beaver Lake today. I've never seen one up this close. I have a Bluebird house in my backyard, but I've never seen Bluebirds there!

Bridge Hand - Project 365 - Day 8

 

Today's high temperature was only 16 degrees. Luckily it was a day to be inside playing bridge.

Another cold and dreary day. Took the girls to Chestnut Ridge to run. They didn't seem to mind the cold.
